Shipping and FAQs
Shipping and Returns
When will my order ship?
Ready to ship items will ship 3-6 days after purchase.
Made to order items will ship 3-6 weeks after purchase.
If your order contains both "ready to ship" and "made to order" items, they will all ship together within the "made to order" timeframe.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
All sales are final. I do not accept returns or exchanges at this time.
Shipping ceramic pieces
Please note that ceramic items (except for soothing stones) have to ship individually for their safety (in their own package). This means that if you are purchasing jewelry as well as ceramic items, they will likely have to ship separately and this will be reflected in the corresponding shipping fees at checkout.
What if my package gets lost?
I truly hope this does not happen, but please understand that once your order is shipped I no longer have control over it and I unfortunately cannot give you a refund for items that are damaged or lost in transit. If that is the case, I recommend filing a complaint with the shipping company.
A note on tariffs
The processes surrounding tariffs are moving at fast speeds and taking sharp turns in every direction. While I do still ship orders to Canada and a variety of international destinations, please know that the buyer is responsible for covering any tariffs and additional import fees that may arise. I cannot give refunds for items that are refused at destination or that are returned to me due to refusal, unpaid tariffs, or outstanding import fees. I am also at all times unaware of the amount that will be due upon delivery, as these import processes are outside of my scope and handled directly by the carrier and customs at the destination country.
General
Color Disclaimer
Actual colors on items may vary from photographs. This is due to photographic lighting sources and inconsistencies of various monitor and screen settings. Additionally, every individual may see these colors differently. Images are intended as a guide.
Can I use your designs for my own beadwork or ceramics?
Please do not. These are all my original designs and I do not consent to them being remade or replicated. Please don't copy. It takes me several hours to illustrate and plan, and often a few tries and reworks before honing in on a design. Please enjoy my work respectfully.
A note on my ceramic items
Each ceramic item is handmade and unique. I use different stoneware bodies for my ceramic pieces. If there are any issues with your new ceramic pieces please contact me. I cannot guarantee a refund or exchange, but I'll be happy to work out any issues on an individual basis.
Do you do custom orders/commissions?
I am open to custom orders and commissions when time allows it. This can involve either color preferences or variations of my own designs, or a completely new custom design. Feel free to contact me with your ideas.
Pricing will depend on the project, illustration and design, size, materials, intricacy, labor, etc. I will discuss this with you in advance and please know that contacting me with a custom request is in no way binding. At the same time, I reserve the right to decline if necessary.
What are your earhooks made of?
The default earhooks I use are gold-plated stainless steel. I also use gold-plated studs and hoops sometimes.
I also have some sterling silver-plated earhooks as well as clip-on options. I you have a preference, please contact me and I will let you know if making a change is possible and available.
I had an accident and a beaded piece broke! Help?
I want you to be happy with your beadwork! If something happens to your piece, please reach out to me and I would be happy to see what I can do. Likewise, if you lose one half of your earrings for instance, I would be happy to remake the missing piece for a price.
Beadwork Care
Although these are handmade pieces made with high-quality products, please remember that these are still beaded items made with glass beads and thread that require proper care if they are to last. Please follow these tips in order to preserve their condition and longevity:
- Store your earrings either hanging and dangling, or laying flat. Thread has memory and it likes to go back to the position that it has been kept in. For this reason, to keep a pretty, flowing and untangled fringe, make sure you store them properly. If the fringe bends, you can gently massage them back into shape, and leave them resting flat or hanging for a while so the thread makes "new memories".
- For the same reasons, avoid twisting the fringe strands between your fingers as it can cause the thread to tangle up and contort. Never tug at a fringe strand.
- Avoid exposing your pieces to water for too long as well as submerging them.
- Store your pieces away from direct sunlight.
- Keep your pieces away from sharp objects and anything that might catch them and tear them.
Jewelry and Metal Components Care
It is normal for metal components in your jewelry to tarnish and/or patina over time. Though most metals will eventually face this fate, certain types are more prone to this than others. Please follow these tips to preserve the condition and longevity of your pieces:
- Store your jewelry in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight. Ideally, don't let your pieces cuddle or interact much with each other while in storage.
- Water, perfume, creams, oils and such are not kind on your jewelry. Please remove your pieces before working out, taking a shower, going into a pool, applying products, etc.
- If you need to clean your pieces, use a very soft cloth.
- Keep in mind that polishing is, in a sense, a form of scratching. If you feel compelled to do this, do it with the least abrasive method possible. This is particularly important with plated or filled items as you risk removing the coating altogether. These coatings wear off over time, which is why it's best to limit cleaning, polising and friction as much a possible to prolong their life.
